Some customers getting error during checkout "a valid amount is required"

During checkout, some of my customers(10% or so that I know of) are filling out all of the required information during checkout, and at the point they put their credit card information in everything looks perfect, but as soon as they click "submit", they get "a valid amount is required" error.

I've tried to get the payment module developer to help but all they do is test the module on their end and say "we can't see anything wrong so it must not be us" and prestashop's diagnostic ticket has been slow as watching grass grow so I haven't dealt with them yet.

When I enable debug mode, I don't see anything come up. 

Does anyone else have this issue or had this issue with a fix?

I contacted Prestashop support.  As I said in the original post, I did contact the developer of the module and they said it is on the Prestashop side because their module is working fine.

 

I bought a diagnostic ticket from the marketplace and we'll see what that gets me.
