Hi to all,

I think I unhooked Category description from the Category block and now I can not edit some of the categories or create new one using Creative Elements. They told me that I'm missing Default Category Description.

I am using FashionHouse v7.0.0 theme with Prestashop 8.1

I will be very happy if someone can help me how to restore Category Block, because I can not see it any more int the modules.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

It seems like you've accidentally unhooked the Category description from the Category block, and you're facing issues with editing categories or creating new ones. Here are some steps to help you restore the Category Block in PrestaShop:

1. Reactivating Category Block:

Log in to your PrestaShop Back Office.

Go to Design > Positions (or Modules > Positions depending on your PrestaShop version).

In the Positions page, locate the "DisplayTop" position.

Look for the "Categories" module in the list. If you find it, drag it to the "DisplayTop" position.

Save the changes.

Clear the PrestaShop cache to ensure that the changes take effect.

2. Check Theme Settings:

Navigate to Design > Theme & Logo in your PrestaShop Back Office.

Select your active theme (FashionHouse v7.0.0).

Look for theme-specific settings related to the Category Block. There might be an option to show or hide it.

Save the changes and check if the Category Block is now visible.

3. Review Module Settings:

Go to Modules in your PrestaShop Back Office.

Search for the "Categories" module. If it's not there, look for modules related to category blocks.

Check the settings of the module for any options related to displaying the Category Block.

Ensure that the module is enabled and configured correctly.

Save changes and clear the cache.

4. Check Theme Documentation:

Refer to the documentation of your FashionHouse theme. It might provide specific instructions on how to manage and configure the Category Block.

5. Theme Customization:

If none of the above steps work, it's possible that there might be customizations in the theme files. You may need to check the theme's template files or consult with the theme's developer or support for guidance.

I wish you a good day.

Dear SeifF, thank You very much for Your responce.

Unfortunately none of the above solutions are available.

I was looking for the hook and module in the database respectively in ps_module and ps_hook tables to connect them in the "ps_hook_module" table,

but cannot find neither "Categories" module nor "Category description".

I have to admit that I am working for the first time with PrestShop.

I'll try to contact Theme support.

Thank You agaIn for Your kindness and help!

Have a nice day!
