Upgraded presta 1.4, then upgraded theme and modules are not working

Hi,

I upgraded my presta to 1.4. I then went to "http://www.templatemonster.com/prestashop-themes/33682.html" and upgraded to the 1.4 version of my theme.
I followed directions and everything should have been working perfectly, but it is not.
Some of the modules, even basic like User Info is not working or showing. The Categories module is not showing the categories, but I see them in the backend.
Something went wrong.
At first i upgraded the theme using the installer, but it was trying for an hour and nothing happened. So i gave up and put the theme manually. Nothing is working properly.
