Import process

Prestashop 8 - all versions. 

I can get thru the import process just fine , but the option to Save, Load or Delete a matching configuration does not work.  It actually does nothing that I can see EXCEPT that you can save a configuration.  I can see the configuration I have saved in the database table ps_import_match.  And i can see it in the import setup and can actually delete it and it will be deleted from the table.  But LOAD does nothing!  The configuration I saved is never retrieved .  SO, when I need to import products, new or updates, or a new supplier, I have to go through the VERY TEDIOUS column mapping process every time!  Is there something missing or I doing something wrong?  This would be a GREAT tool, if it worked!!
