Hello,

we are moving away to Shopify soon.
Not trying to start a discussion whether that's a good or a bad idea, but..

As for migrating the data.. These is quite some service providers.. "cart2cart" comes into mind. Or "Litextension", being the two most popular ones.

Does anyone ahve expieriences with those or can recommend somwthing else even.
I have a mixed impression about these... Are they trustworthy etc.?

Any expieriences?

Cheers,
Pat

If I were you, I’d copy the data manually, whether it is export-import csv or reconstructing sql (if shopify support it? not sure!)

otherwise, hire someone who knows how to do it and whom you trust :)

all the best though

why move 😛 (but yeah, dont go there)

Yes. I have. Just I arrive to prestashopo after years. I found a couple of security problems and a forum full of problems.
Wow!... Perharps the team have not time engough from 1.5 to make something working good. Not just looking good, but only working good.
Export is an example.
Do it yourself.
Try to import productos to an "amazing" new version , or not so new, with a complete csv following the sample file from the import section.
You can find somethings just doesn´t work. Who cares!
Now you can creat a new product on the prestashop panel, and make an products export. You will get a very different file, like the import and the export were made by diferent companies. ON that export file you will miss a lot of information. A lot.
This is not new. Always was like this.
Just can I say "Good luck", and good sales on shopify. You must spend more money, and no one is perfect. But at least there you can focus on sale.
