migration help

I have migrated a clients prestashop to a new host and updated it to the latest version and fixed a number of issues.

but now I need to migrate the database again, as the live site has received orders while I was doing this work, so i need to pull over any misisng data.

the old version was 1.7.51
new version is 1.7.8.8

 

so my question is, can I simply migrate the database again AS IS or doe sthe upgrade process also make database changes?
in which case, how do I just pull over misisng orders?

hello this may help you, download emagicone (you can use it for free for 15 days) connect it to the old version export customers and orders, and then connect it to the new site and import them

There are definitely database changes. Only option is to use a migration tool or do this DB changes in a manual way (you can find the SQLs in autoupgrade module).
