modify shipping costs for a region

Hello, I need to set different shipping costs for Corsica which is currently included in France, how can I do this?

create zone corsica

associate corsica to zone

create shipping carrier for this new zone

I'm little rusty at hands on but I think that is correct approach

You can only select shipping for certain regions from the shipping settings.

in order to associate corsica with the zone, do i have to create it as a state or as a country?

i created a country called corsica and i have activated the function "contains countries" for france, but if i try to search for corsica while adding the address, it does not appear

my bad, I missed bit Corsica was not a country...I take back my earlier comment and apologize for not reading this better.  

forget what I said...

1. delete corsica as a country

2. add as a state.

3. associate france to that state

I hope this is better advice.
