Question regarding Child Themes

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the child themes. I generated a child theme from my current theme via the backend and uploaded it there and then activated it. However, the assets are not properly inherited from the parent, despite

use_parent_assets: true

I followed this guide:

I tried it with the default theme and with my theme, also with both versions - 1.7 & 8.0. Always with the same result.

Is there anything else to consider or does anyone have an idea how I can load the assets correctly?

Did you try to create the child theme manually via FTP? Does the same issue appear?

I just tried, and its the same. Is it actually working in generel. I mean the Child Theme?

Otherwise i will just hire someone.

So what exactely is missing? CSS (theme.css), Images?

Yes it works, I use it everywhere to be upgrade safe. In 8.0 some behavouir has changes, have a look at https://devdocs.prestashop-project.org/8/modules/core-updates/8.0/#child-themes

thanks for the reply.

The theme.css was missing, i dont know how i did it now but it works. i will post the solution once i found it out, sorry ^^
