Hiding specific combinations and adding prices

Hi,

1) Is there a way to hide specific combinations from the product? Like a "show" / "hide" specific combination? 

2) Is there a way to show the main product price in the form of for example "Prices starting from 50€" etc? I want to add different prices for each combinations. Seems that I can't leave the main product's price to 0€ or blank. So the problem is  that the price of the main product overrides the individual prices of the combinations.

I come from ePages system where you can just check the option "Hide variation" for each variation (combination). And you could just leave the main products price field empty and then all the combinations individual prices were shown correctly when chosen from the product page.

If these things can't be done by default is there some good module for this? In my opinion these kind of things should be basic functionality in each ecommerce platform.
