Can not edit free theme's front page from 'Pages Configuration' tool

Hello everybody!

I am new to PrestaShop. I have installed it to my dev server and it is running flawlessly with the demo content (v1.7.8.7).  In the admin panel, I can change the front page from the 'Pages Configuration' tool.

I downloaded two free themes (Probusiness - Version 1.0.7, BrandFashion Version 1.0.5) but after I activate them, I can not change the front page from the 'Pages Configuration' tool.

 

Am I missing something? Should I download a specific type of themes?

First you need to turn off the cache and set template pages to force compile, this lets you check changes quickly.

Then you need to edit mostly in .tpl files
