I've tried multiple times to type in my password...and save... Anyone have a setup that works? ========== MY SETTINGS ============= domain name: <left blank> SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com SMTP username: [email protected] SMTP password: ********* Encryption: SSL Port: 465 --------------------------- ERROR --------------------------- Error: Please check your configuration Failed to authenticate on SMTP server with username "[email protected]" using 3 possible authenticators. mcbole62 Posted June 23, 2022 Share Posted June 23, 2022 I believe Gmail has changed their SMTP setting to require more than just username and password. But I'm still digging into this as my website doesn't send out emails anymore either (or rather I get the error message that they weren't sent). En mi caso Google me informó que consultara con el proveedor de Hosting; Efectivamente las conexiones SMTP remotas, por cuestiones de seguridad se encuentran cerradas por defecto.
