Connecting app ssearch to prestashop via modules

Hi everyone,
Does any of you have any experience with connecting app search to the cms prestashop ?
I'm currently working on that and found some useful modules like elasticsearchconnector and wkelasticsearch the problem is that is doesn't recognize my elastic server which is either https://localhost:9200/ or https://127.0.0.1:9200/ both work fine as they show the cluster information for Elasticsearch.
these modules default format of the Elasticsearch server url is https://localhost:9200/ but for me elastic only runs on https not on http, could that be the problem?

or if you have another idea on how to connect them please do tell me, I honestly ran out of ideas.

If anyone has the slightest idea of what may be the problem please help, thanks in advance.
