After update from 1.7.7.7 to 1.7.8.4 shopping cart shows wrong image

I have several combinations with different images behind. When placing a product into the shopping cart it shows always just the cover image, not the selected product. I have turned off all cache, I regenerated the thumbnails for the cart_default size, I have also tried to delete and reload pictures and reassigned them to the combinations. In the back office -> pending shopping carts, it shows the correct picture. When I change the cover image it will also change the image in the shopping basket...

Any suggestions or is this a new bug? I tried before 1.7.8.3 and it happened there as well.

Solved. Problem with Theme Classic Rocket Version 3.1.0.

It has to do with the used theme. Try first to change back to the default theme if the problem persists. If it's working there you need to check if you can get an update for the theme you are using.

try copying theme.js from classic theme (comes with 1.7.8.4) to your theme (replace the existing file)

Didn't work for me. Just messed up the cart process, you add a product and no pop-up comes up, but still wrong picture in cart. Also all product pictures, even the banner on the home page stays empty.
