Auto attach images after upload

Hi,

I upload my products from the supplier data. Images for the products follow the pattern of skucode.jpg I can bulk upload the image files to the server

Can I either:

- amend the import routine to attach the images during import using the id field as the image name

- create a cron job to search for products without images and attach images from the server

- any other advice or suggestions?

For the average programmer, this is a question of two to three hours of work for writing an import module for images according to sku + code from XML or CSV from the supplier.
