I use Prestashop version 1.7.8.1. just fresh installed, using classic theme only I change a product to virtual, put in the text infos and then activate the downloadable product. I browse fo the zip file (less than 64MB, a limitation which is already a big problem in itself) - save that part, save the whole product, and when I come back to check the setting, the downloadable product is again deactivated. I changed the PHP setting in my hosting to max upload 256M Plus there is a setting in Prestashop Administration advanced (Erweiterte EInstellungen) "upload-volume" which limited uploads of files to 8MB. I did set upload and download to 256MB here too. After that, saving the link, no process is shown. One has to wait until the red button appears. only then its really saved and stays saved.
