How to remove the 'Customer' field (name = "id_customer") during new address / registration process?

It is theme Classic and version: 1.7.7.6:

- How do we remove the 'Customer' field (name = "id_customer") while adding new address  and during the registration process?

As can be seen on the screen, there are no possible choices under 'Please select' in the irrelevant field, which - after all - is optional to fill in.

Where the unwanted field should originate is not known, and it is not to be found under 'Customers> Customers' (indication of fields), 'Customers> Addresses' (indication of fields) or 'International> Locations> Countries> Denmark' (address format) or 'Store Parameters> Custom Settings> Customers' (!?)

Hi, I suppose you found the answer to your problem.
I had the same issue, it was caused by the "customer:email" field being checked in the address format for the country.
