HTTPS problem since upgrade

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've just upgraded my site from 1.4.0.13 to 1.4.1.0 and I am now having https problems. With https enabled (selected in backoffice preferences) users can no longer log on to their user accounts or view their shopping carts.

The problem appears to be that the http url is not resolving correctly. So what should be...

https://www.funkypeanut.co.uk/shop/en/my-account

prestashop is actually looking for...

https://https//www.funkypeanut.co.uk//shop/en/my-account

which obviously doesn't exist (extra //https and extra / after domain name). I seem to recall that in 1.4.0.13 in the backoffice preference there was a field in which to enter the https domain. But it seems to have vanished (or I just can't find it) in 1.4.1.

Cart/accounts seemt to work fine with https disabled.

Anyone seen anything similar or have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Robin

Ah ha. I knew as soon as I posted this I'd figure it out :-)

Go to backoffice preferences, SEO. Had to remove the https:// from the begining of the "Shop domain name for SSL" and the trailing /. Selected (yes to) the "Canonical url". Then recreated my .htaccess file.

And is if by magic, it seems to work again. Not sure why this has changed since 1.4.0.13. But it's working, so I'm not worried!

Best of luck to everyone else with their upgrades! I think I'm there and complete now. Bit more testing to go...
