Hello.
I have a problem installing version 1.4.0.17 in step 3.
the installation does not continue and get stuck with no progress.


I do not know if the problem can be for php
in step 2 I get the following error
PHP register global option is off (recommended) in step 2

In step 3 gives the following errors
A Prestashop database already exists, please drop it or change the prefix.
and not allowed to proceed with the installation

I check in my server the php configuration and the " register global process " and tells me that is " on " but the store instalation says the contrary.
In my server I have the following characteristics
PHP Version: 5.2.8
MySQL Version: 5.1.1938-log

In the version 1.4.1 does not give this error and allows me to install properly.
but I have the problem of modules that disappear in this version as to comment on another post
