Why does an upgrade zip file contain all the files and not just upgrade files.

Why does an PS upgrade zip file contain all the files and not just upgrade files. Any ideas.

My A2hosting server is beginning to be not able to handle upgrades with all the files. It seems very file intense to upgrade all files?

We also use A2hosting and we do not have any problems.

If you want to speed it up you can already unzip the file in the upgrade folder. This way your upgrade can run faster.

I have just been looking into manually unzipping.

Most of the tutorials online refer to removing code from the upgrade.php and also copying over parameters.php

But these are not in 1.7.7.5 or 1.7.7.6

So its basically a straight unzip

Or is it?

PS - What A2hosting plan are you using ? as I am on Web Hosting - Turbo Boost Web Hosting
