Change the order for the state list on checkout page

Hi there, 

I'm not sure it's really a bug but.

On the address form on checkout page, the customer can select his state in a "list" field. This list is ordered by default by the creation date of each state (created by admin from dashboard). I couldn't find a way to reorder this list for customers. That's really not good. I need this list to make the states appear in alphabetical order.

How can i do this ?
