Prestashop module reverse to previous version

Hi,

This might be a silly question but i've been looking around without success how to reverse (or downgrade) to older prestashop module version. I have a problem with Mails v2.2.2 module and might need to reverse to previous 2.2.1. How can i do it?

There is no proper way to do this. 

If the database structure for the two versions is the same it might work to copy the files or install the old version over the newer one. If the structure is different it might be necessary to uninstall the old before you install the new one.

okay, got the idea.

Since i have no clue about module's structures (yes a n00b), i believe it's wiser to uninstall new version and install older version. Many thx

Be cautions upgrading module: Mails Alerts to 2.2.2 by Prestashop.

For those running into same issue, just copy old 2.2.1 over the new upgrade. Uninstall and install old version will break other modules.

its not a core function so you might run into trobules
but its possible in two steps:

1. change module version in `ps_module` table
2. clear `/var/cache`
