Checkbox values in the order's notification email.

Hello guys,

I have added a html checkbox in a checkout step and i'm trying to figure out how to get the checkbox values in the order notification email (even in the order details would be good but not necessary);

I've looked around for some example that could help me figure it out and so far i know i need a db table in order to store the values along with the php code to send the info from the checkbox to the DB, but i'm a bit confused about which file and db table i need to add the code in;

Does anyone have suggestions\directions for me?
