how to put an slider (for example the module awesomeslider) in the header

Hello, i would like to put the module "awesomeslider" in the header, but i only can put in the homefeatured.

If i change positions in the backoffice it doesnt make effect, this is because this module only can be put in the homefeatured hook, so i would like to know how i could modify the module to let him to be showed in the header module
