Webservice stops working when Memcached is activated

I'm using Prestashop 1.6.1.20 and there is a system that works well using the webservice.

The problem is the store is quite slow, then we have tried memcached to speed up. It worked like a charm. The problem is, after memcached was activated, the integration of the system with the store through webservice started having problems. Constantly show a message "Read time out" after some put methods and sometimes even didn't start the put method.

Is there some problem using both? What else could we do to speed up the website loading time? Thanks!
