Product customization

I have updated a test site from 1.3.6 to 1.4.0.17 and have most things working plus the site seems to be as fast as my old test site even before I have implemented any of the new performance enhancements so I seem to be suffering less than most but one thing does not work and I cannot get any acceptable response from the bugs I have rasied.

I use product customization a lot as I run a gift printing business but with 1.4.0.17 or the latest SVN version when I have friendly url's turned on I cannot get the delete customization button on the product page to work, this is the bin icon next to an uploaded image before you add the customzied product to the cart. With friendly url's turned off it works fine, this seems to have been a problem since the first 1.4.x.

Has anybody got any ideas as I can get nothing from teh PS development team, until thi sis fixed I am stuck at 1.3.7 and that apparently now is unsupported.
