Hello, I am trying to build an e-shop and I have some problems with the e-mail function (it doesn’t send notification / confirmation emails for orders to either me nor to the customer), it also doesn’t send the test email (from advanced parameters / e-mail / test your email configuration). This function used to work just fine at the beginning. I also didn’t have any luck in setting my own smtp parameters, all I get is “Connection timed out”. So here are my questions, is there any way I could have messed up phps’ mail() function? Or is it my web hosting service? I have only modified some translation files and some css files. Secondly how can I change time out length in the php settings to solve the “Connection timed out” problem in SMTP configuration? Thirdly my current (not workind) SMTP configuration is this : Mail domain name : (blank) SMTP server : smtp-mail.outlook.com SMTP user : [email protected] SMTP password : accounts_password Encryption : TLS Port : 587 Does that look right? ( This configuration is suggested by Microsoft in http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/outlook/send-receive-from-app )
