  1. Thanks for the recommendations! However I'm looking for a standalone solution, since we have many products that we don't offer in our online shop (advertised and sold to sports teams and/or through facebook and twitter) and it would be a hassle to include all of them in prestashop. Finale Inventory is too expensive, unfortunately. Do you have experience with inventory.com? Web of Trust marks it as untrustworthy
  2. Hi guys, we are currently using a Excel document to manage our inventory (blergh...) but want to upgrade to something more elaborate. I've just started to look at Odoo and inFlow, they both look promising. But other than these two, I found it pretty hard to find a good piece of software that is affordable for a small business. So I figured I'd ask you guys what you are using. Prestashops internal inventory management? Some other software? I'd be happy to hear your thoughts! - sirDonald
  3. @dioniz No, I just wanted to show a placeholder in the search field of the top menu bar. It should change according to the currently selected language. Under Localization > Translations there already is a translated string for "Search" (probably from the search module? which I have disabled) So I thought I could just use this one. But no matter which language I select, it always just displays "Search", in English.
  4. The translation is already there (under Search -> Search = Suche). Sorry should have added that
  5. Hi, how can I show a translated string as a placeholder? I tried the following: <input type="text" name="search_query" placeholder="{l s='Search'}" value="{if isset($smarty.get.search_query)}{$smarty.get.search_query|escape:'html':'UTF-8'}{/if}" /> but it just displays the english version on all languages...
  6. I was having trouble disabling the group discount if a product is already on sale. This thread has helped me quite a lot, but I still had to look through a lot of code. So this is how I did it, I hope it helps someone! In GroupReduction.php In the function "getValueForProduct", after if (!Group::isFeatureActive()) return 0; i added: if (Product::isDiscounted($id_product)) return 0; Note: I'm running 1.6.0.6 Cheers!
  7. Hi, I'm running Prestashop 1.6.0.6 and I have an issue with the Google Analytics integration. The "traffic"-Block on the BO Dashboard just shows zeroes and a link "Link to your Google Analytics account". If I click this link, only a warning is displayed on the Modules-page: "Module not found." When looking through the modules, I couldn't find the analytics plugin so I installed it manually. But it still doesn't seem to be linked, since there are still only zeroes displayed and when clicking the link it still can't find the module. Can anyone help me? Thanks!
  8. Hi, I have a lot of products on sale in my shop and the Sale/Price Drop page is getting a little confusing. Is it somehow possible to enable the Layered Navigation for this page? If not, is there a module (preferrably free) that at least permits choosing a category? At the moment, categories are displayed on the side, but they do not filter the products on sale but just point to their corresponding category page. Felix
