  1. www.icanhelpsew.com Thanks for the help but that really is not going to help you:) ... help me Look at the picture in my post. That is what it looks like from the back end. No categories are showing but Root and home. Nothing under that. There has to be a fix within the module. There was another post that was solved by tweeking the DB and that just is not the case here. Everything is working smooth.
  2. In the Top Horizontal Menu Module it is not showing categories. It is however showing ............ Root and then Home There is another thread that does not fix this. This one below ... http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/330769-solved-categories-not-visible-in-horizontal-top-menu-backoffice/ I have read that thread so please don't point me to it. EVERYTHING else is working in my shop perfectly so my DB does not need to be altered as he did in the above thread. Also, in the above thread he pointed out that other things were not right because of the db error. I think it is something I can tweek within the module files to make this work. I am sure there is another problem out there like this. THANKS!!!!!!!!! FOR YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP
  3. I am not very happy about this fix. My database is performing fine. This is the kinda stuff that could ruin your day messing with a DB. Is there a fix within the module files? I am not going to alter a working DB to accommodate a module. Especially if EVERYTHING else is working besides this module. Everything shows besides the categories inside the module and my store is working fine. ****My other category modules work so how is it my DB ???? !!!!!!! Will someone help me out here? THANKS I like this module because when it goes to a mobile width it changes the menu to a slide .... I love that. Hence you don't need a mobile template... which is cool.
  4. Mine is doing the same thing! This is an issue of them not showing up at all. I don't think the question is being addressed correctly. We know how to do it they are just not there for the selection. So this being said do you have any ideas ? I have updated and reset my module no luck.
  5. Ok so I am going to say ..... IF YOU HAVE A VPS SERVER YOU NEED AT LEAST 1.5 GIGS OF RAM TO RUN PRESTASHOP. SOLVED!
  6. Everybody is scared to put a numbers on this LOL. IS is bad for business or something if it uses too much RAM?
  7. Not all but allot. I will try that. Thanks for the Ideas. I will report what fixes it when it is SO HAPPILY FIXED! Right now I still don't know how much RAM prestashop is supposed to have. I have just paid $100 to increase it to 2.8 gigs and its peaking at 2 ....... Then I will find out what module is responsible but as it looks I think Prestashop needs over 2 dedicated gigs to run ........... Am I Wrong???????
  8. The only left module I am using is Layered Navigation. You still did not tell me how much ram Prestashop should have.
  9. I just heard from my server people and they are pointing to php scripts as suspected. Here is the email they sent me .... 10. I was using 1.7 gigs on average before now its up to 1.87 plus. I have two gigs of Ram. I have shut down MUNIN. Also as always when I look into the resources its alway PHP scripts causing the spikes. So I don't know if the spikes are normal or not. There is not much information on this at all anywhere. So CPU is fine and I have 2 gigs allocated. Also, to cut back on RAM I drop the PHP INI to max 80 and not the 120 it had. I can drop it to 40 and the shop actually still performs well. I know that is not recommended but it works. Thanks for all your help!!!!!!!!!
  11. My prestashop is currently using up to 97% and up of memory. It used to be at 70% and then one day it started using more memory for no reason. Well I did not change a setting. I am on a VPS server. I need guidence to detecting the problem with a memory leak and fixing it. I thought I had it pegged as a layered navigation block module but I disabled it and now I am stumped. I am not good at server admin stuff so all the help would be appreciated. I am however very familiar with Prestashop. THANKS!!!! I am using version 1.6.0.9 ( I just updated to see if it would fix it ) I also tossed my theme and I am using the default bootstrap because my 1.6 theme would have problems I understand.
  12. It sounds like my problem which is blocklayered module eating up memory on your server. Disable that or any suspect module then try it.
