I'm have a problem with 1.5.6.2, my old urls are all indexed with good rankings, i tried a 301 redirect from the server, but that just puts through to a /page-not-found, the redirects also shows on the .htaccess file. When i spoke to my hosting company they say some of the other lines in your .htaccess file are interfering with this redirect. so i assume that the .htaccess file is the root problem? how can i resolve the problem with the .htaccess file? do i need the server redirects? any help would be appreciated

Hi, hopefully this is a problem that others have encountered, I'm testing my new version of prestashop and when i've gone through the process of adding a product to the cart, creating an account/guest checkout and clicking the terms and conditions, where the payment gateways should be and the url is /order?multi-shipping=.... the next page is blank? I've tested with and without the theme, also turned off guest checkout, allow multishipping and enabled one-page checkout. If anyone has any ideas please respond as I'm completely stumped Robin

I've used prestashop now for 4 years, and i'm still on version 1.3, so i'm updating my shop, i have everything set and have copied the database to the new 1.5 version, in a sub-folder on the server, the problem is that i can't login, even though the password and email is correct (still works on the old version) and the main page is blank, my thinking is that the database still thinks it's working from url.co.uk not url.co.uk/newsite? have i missed something by transfering the whole database across?

thanks marty, if it is the 'ID profile' on the employee page, showing all the accounts, it is already set to 1, i set it to 2 thinking maybe that was the original setting (admin) but that didn't work, i know the original settings are there, maybe i was changing the wrong settings?

Hi, i have added an employee to my prestashop (version 1.3) but inadvertently changed the settings for the admin account and now i've lost all the available settings, I looked in the PHPmyAdmin but i can't seem to see where to change it back to the original settings, as the administrator settings are still there, if someone can point me in the right direction as to how to change the account back to the admin setting that would be appreciated. i have setup my paypal module on prestashop 1.5.3.1 but when test the module it gives me this error message Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) in /../tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_compilebase.php on line 80 is this an error from the server? i have created a php.ini file that hasn't fixed the problem! can anyone help please?

thanks, so if this file isn't in the zip file then presumably it isn't needed and wasn't created by prestashop?

In the last few days had a hacking attempt on one of my files, the style.php has been hacked into from a hacker injecting code into it. is this style.php a created file or a file on my 1.3 version or a file that i need? if i do need it where can i get a fresh copy of the file?

i built my site in a /shop/ folder and it was working perfectly, i moved everything to the public/html folder and it looks like this http://www.earpieceonline.co.uk/index2.php i suspect this is because i haven't changes the PS directory from /shop to /. i'm unable now to login into the back office even after changing the password, it doesn't tell me it dislikes the password, just show the login screen. i have changed around the .htaccess forms and that doesn't seem to change anything. Please help!!!!

i'm looking for someone to price for a module that allows the site to hire equipment to the customer, front of house, the customer will be able to decide a date of when they want the equipment and it should let them know if stock is available and a price, additional equipment can be added, for an extra cost. back of house, stock numbers can be in-putted and orders can be seen. ideally i would like this within a sub-category of the site and not on the main page. if you need more info please PM me. thanks Robin
