1.5.6.2. to 1.6.0.9 upgrade via data migration?

Recommended Posts

Hello

I operate busy multistore based on ps 1.5.6.2. Installation has been core-modified in some places and we have several custom modules installed.

I have tried upgrade my installation to 1.6.0.9 via One-Click-Upgrade module and it was success.

Unfortunately some bugs and problems which are related to our customozation have been carried over to a new version.

My question is :

Would it be possible to make a clean install of 1.6.0.9 version, making it fully translated/configured etc... and then manually upgrade a new database with our stores data?

All business related data should be moved to a new version as customers, addresses, vouchers, specific prices, zones, counties, taxes, products, attributes, manufacturers, customers, groups, addresses, order history, vouchers, carriers, etc, etc, etc.....

Is this kind of upgrade doable? Anyone here experienced on this matter?

thanks....

no, that is not possible unless you are an 'advanced' prestahop [spam-filter], and even then that is not what they will suggest, ,what they should tell you is "hiring upgrade expert to carry over your custom changes".

suerte!

Do You mean that even if there is no modyfication in database structure (PS 1.5.6.2) it's verrrrry hard do import this base into fresh installed PS 1.6 version ???

there is modification 1.5-->1.6, else yes it would be possible. :))

I see developers with modules for  'other cms/magento/oscommerce/etc.'  to PrestaShop conversions.  Be nice to have a Prestashop to Prestashop module.
