Errors with the Prestashop contact form.

Hi guys

 

I’m finishing the store and I bumped with a basic issue.

The contact form is now working fine.

 

1. The “Test your email configuration” function from Advance Parameters/E-mails is not working? I didn’t received any note yet and I don’t know if is related with the issue #2.
2. The contact form takes almost 12 hours to reach my inbox and when I choose an option from the combobox/subject of the contact form, the subject of the email I received in my inbox state ‘(no synch)’, not the subject selected in the combobox of the contact form. Weird. 
3. Is there a way/module to program an automatic response once a customer sent a question through the contact form?

This is the feedback I've received from the PS Theme support team:

1)I've tested your email function and even default PS function doesn't work. Please apply to your hoster. I suppose mail php function disabled in your hosting plan or some errors. I've made 2 orders for testing - Alex Test. You can delete these orders.
2) We are using default PS functionality for that. So I think this is not our theme fault. Please check the issue with the default PS theme. And I think not Prestashop fault, ask the hoster, maybe they will find the reason.
3) Sorry I don't know fast solutions. Please try to find the solution with the PS forum or try to find module for that.

 

The support team from IPage (the hosting company) asked me for more details about what are the parameters they should be check at the PHP.ini file. Sadly I don't know much about PHP.

 

Any further help will be highly appreciated.

Hi Patrón

 

I've changed the default email for one with the main domain on it. Test your email configuration is working fine, I've received an email which the following status: 'This is a test message. Your server is now configured to send email.'. On the other hand, I sent two messages through the contact form, and after a day, I didn't receive the notification in my inbox (Gmail and hoster web app inbox). Also 3 orders have been set as a test, and I didn't received a notification. I can see these emails and orders in the Prestashop backend, but not in the inbox of my mail.

Also I've tried with SMTP settings and still, the notifications doesn't reach the inbox of my emails.

 

Facts:

1. I set up the address from Advance Parameters/Email.

2. PHP and SMTP options have been tested without success.

3. HTML and text format have been tested.

4. Test your email configuration is working fine.

5. I've set the same email address at Customer/Contacts sheet.

 

Please let me know if you know any other solution to this weird situation.
