perfect2design
I have been unable to edit categories in my Prestashop since yesterday. Everything was working perfectly until I uploaded a CSV file and accidentally overwrote my home & root categories. My store is new so I was comfortable with dumping my entire installation and installed Prestashop in a new directory & database but it is still doing the same thing. I am at a loss. I don't understand how a completely new install is still resolving to the old issue - I've cleaned all files from folders with my hosting service as well. I've attached a screenshot of the error I'm getting as well as a screenshot of what my Catalog module looks like. Very empty Thanks to anyone that can assist me with this. vekia
hello turn on error reporting then instead of this simple warning message you will see detailed information about error (related to sql query)
Prestashopconector
Maybe you have deleted by error root and home categories.... check that.
perfect2design
Thank you both for your reply! When I went back into the SQL tables, the ps_category table was blank (no rows). I had backed everything up when I first started building my store so I was able to recreate the table & it works now. I'm not fluent in SQL but pick up on "how to's" pretty quickly - thankfully. I'm guessing I over wrote the table when I did the upload & had a new category (my own) for IDS 1 & 2. Ugh - I'm such a Prestashop newbie I WON'T be making THAT mistake again!
