  1. Well my problem just got resolved. The web host discovered that the server IP got removed from Paypal's whitelist during today's upgrade, which caused 403 errors accessing api-3t.paypal.com. They've now sent connections out of another IP so there are no problems anymore. Maybe you should check with your host to see if that's the case for you as well!
  2. Hi. Same error here, I also got: Send with CURL method failed ! Error: Connect failed with fsockopen method Paypal has been working fine for months, until overnight last night when the error started. I uninstalled and deleted the module, installed the latest version, got new API credentials from Paypal, but still got the same error. My web host says "I am not able to detect any issues with the server configuration at all. From the provided logs I can see that the curl connection is going successfully however sending the data fails for some reasons." And asked me to contact the module's developer! Not much chance that I can actually reach them...
  3. I've got the same issue since upgrading to 1.6.1.5. My host just told me to go to Advance Parameters > Email and change the SMTP server from the server name to the server's actual IP address, and that cured the problem! Not sure why, but it works now.
  4. I just upgraded from 1.6.0.9 to 1.6.1.5. My shop's default country is the UK, but in customer address area USA is selected by default. In Localisation in BO, the default country is always set to UK. But if I change "Set language from browser" and "Set default country from browser language" to NO, they just go back to YES next time I look. I suspect that's why the wrong country is being selected by default in the addresses. I tried clearing cache, using another browser etc, but nothing's working. Is this a known bug? Is it something left over in the DB during upgrade that's causing this? Can anyone please help?
  5. Sorry to revive an old thread but has anyone found a solution to this? I have the same problem, and I'm using PS 1.6.0.9, one page checkout and the official Paypal module.
  6. Looking into this more, it looks like the variables defined in OrderHistory.php, {order_name} and {total_paid} are shown on the order_conf email. I thought it should be using PaymentModule.php where the other things like {products}, {date} variables are? What can I do to fix this?
  7. Hi, I'm using PS 1.6.0.9, upgraded from PS1.4 using the one click upgrade. I've noticed that the order confirmation email isn't working properly (see pic) The order reference is working (I've blacked it out) but the rest of the variables aren't. Even the date isn't showing. All other emails, PDF invoices are fine. I also use the mailalerts module which send me emails when there are new orders, and the order details there show up fine too. I've downloaded a new copy of 1.6.0.9 and replaced all the files in the mails/en folder (shop language is english), but the same is still happening. Please help?
  8. Hi. I'm using PS 1.6.0.9 and a theme called modez. I've noticed that when a customer changes password, they get the messages: There is 1 error 1. The password you entered is incorrect. Your personal information has been successfully updated. (the messages are in 2 boxes) After that they can login with the new password. How can I get rid of the error message, since it's obviously incorrect and confusing? Thanks.
  9. I'd also like help with the same problem, for the main menu/main category please.
  10. I think the problem is solved. Sorry I don't know how to delete the topic.
  11. I'm using PS v1.4.5.1 (can't upgrade yet since I have no time to find/customise a new compatible theme) I've just upgraded my Paypal module to 3.7.2. After that, when trying to load my shop I get this error: I found that if I use Smarty 3 instead of 2 then the shop is ok. But if I use Smarty 3, then my shopping cart disappears! I have the Backward Compatibility module installed. My shop is at www.coscraft.co.uk How can I solve this? Can I find and install an older Paypal module?
  12. I'm using PS 1.4.5.1, with the one step checkout option. At the moment customers are able to click the "add new address" link, which takes them to another page to input that address. Once that's saved it goes back to the checkout page. The problem is the default address is still shown at checkout, and you'd need to use the dropdown list to pick the new address you just entered. This is counter-intuitive to my customers who think the new address they just gave would be the one the order is sent to, so they don't check again! I've lost several orders in the post that way because they got sent to old addresses. Is there a way for the new address just entered to be the one shown at checkout? Help much appreciated.
  13. I asked my webhost to move my site to a different server, and the problem was gone. Not really a proper solution but at least I can keep selling!
