  1. Hi all.. I did a fresh install of the latest prestashop on my hosted web site and configured everything. When people enter their information on the "Create An Account" screen and click the Save button, the screen times out with the following error: This site can’t be reached The webpage at http://djtommyd.ca/login?create_account=1 might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE It does save the initial information because the customer can go back and login with their new credentials but I don't understand why its timing out on the Create An Account screen when the Save button is pressed?? any help would be great! tom
  2. Just had an update from the makers (PrestoChangeo) of the shipping add-on module.. they told me that the problem was with the upgrade process and not their module.. And even though the upgrade process went smoothly, they said that they cannot help me without a functioning site.. My site is functioning and no error messages appeared? Does anybody know if I Roll Back that everything will work again or should I simply rip out the prestochangeo localized shipping module?
  3. Hello all.. this week I upgraded to the latest version of prestashop.. The process went smoothly visually, but my localized shipping add-on module is not responsive anymore.. My store will only work with standard shipping carrier information and not from my the add-on module. the makers of the add-on module stated: " It seems like the CSS and JS files are not loading correctly ( http://screencast.com/t/8MyrkUIMB )" but waiting to give clarity what is wrong with these files as I do not have custom code and the upgrade process went smoothly. In case they cannot figure out the problem, can I use the 'Roll Back' function within the '1 Click Upgrade' to go back to the way my store was originally setup, or will I have a problem doing so? thanks tom
  4. Hi All... I have 1 prestashop site setup in a folder under my domain.. And moving forward to create another prestashop site under a different folder under the same domain selling a completely different type of products. With customers having registered on my first sight.. how can configure it so that all the existing customer information (and their passwords) are replicated to my new site and moving forward any new records from either site replicate to one another including updates to existing records? thanks tom
  5. 3 questions: 1. file format of the image(s) 2. if you open one of those graphic files in paint or any graphic program.. what is the horizontal and vertical sizes in PIXELS 3. if you look at one of the those graphic files.. what is the file size of them?
  6. With the help of bellini13, he helped me nail down the problem (hopefully).. If your product names contains special characters such as quotes (both single or double), commas etc.. then it causes problems with the Paypal module.. I had to strip away as much as of these special characters from my product line as possible in order to avoid this problem... I did a quick test and it seems that the theory is holding true...
  7. Hi All.. I'm having the exact same problem and I have a clean install. Absolutely no transferring of my shop from one site to another.. all configured from scratch directly on my domain and web hosting company... any input would be great! Tom
  8. Confirmed.. I just setup the Paypal USA, Canada module .. had the exact same problem.. entered the paypal email address instead of the business name and BAM! it worked.. Now the problem I have is that after Paypal has successfully processed a credit card payment, that my prestashop site doesn't acknowledge it.. So when the customer returns back to my site using either the link from the PayPal credit card screen, the customer still sees their shopping cart full of the items they selected in which the prestashop software did not convert it as an order record. Even the back-office does not have an order record.. Paypal says its a prestashop problem.. not a paypal problem. any input would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks tom
  9. Hello All.. I have setup my site and configured correctly the 'Paypal USA, Canada' module. Even PayPal confirmed my settings on both their end and my end. I attempted to do a test run with myself by getting my [spam-filter] to shop on my site, select the PayPal payment option.. Be presented with the ability to pay by credit card, entered all the information and was successfully charged (as per the Paypal confirmation) email.. My [spam-filter] clicked on the link to return me back to my shopping cart site. We noticed that that the PrestaShop software still kept my [spam-filter]'s shopping cart full as is.. did not detect any checkout process and her 'Order History and Details' is empty. From the Back-Office, nothing showed up as a new order. Paypal support seems to think that it is a bug in your 'Paypal USA, Canada' module (assuming that PrestaShop created) it, in which the handshaking between the successful order was not transmitted back to my site in order to finalize the process which basically my site sat there doing nothing. Can someone please tell me what is going on and/or how to fix this problem? Thanks Tom
  10. Hi All.. Having the feature to enable a minimum order amount is great as it allows the flexibility for my supplier to ship to them directly.. but taking a survey from my customers, I found that it would deter them from shopping on my site. They did mention that they would pay a small additional 'handling fee' if they did not hit some sort of minimum order amount. Therefore, how can I setup my shop so that if the minimum order of $100 is not achieved by my customer, then an additional $10 'handling fee' would be added? thanks and Merry Christmas & Happy New Year Tom
  11. thanks puffdade.. is it possible to make the `free gift product`only visible when it triggers the free gift from the Cart Rules. I don`t want this `free gift product`to be searched and-or found by my customer so that they don`t accidentally or purposely add it to their cart just because its free.. Unless I make the price of the `free gift product`something outrgeous that nobody in their right might would add it to their cart manually.. tom
  12. Hi Paul.. I have included a screen shot.. I put a red arrow to indicate the specific area I am talking about when it comes to the payment logos As you can see.. It currently displays `visa`, `mastercard`and `paypal`logos. But how do I include the american express logo, squareup logo and other payment logos directly in this block. I understand that I can possibly add the additional payment logos into the `secure payment`page within the CMS section.. but I want these additional logos to be predominately displayed right on the main screen beside the other 3 that are listed in the screen shot.. how can I achieve this. thanks tom
  13. that's weird.. 2 out of my 3 of my computers show those 2 modules does not show up even if I reset the filters to display all modules..? since I found those 2 blocks now.. I have a question for each.. 1. for the advertising block .. It's not advanced enough to enter more than 1 entry? 2. when I try to configure the 'Page CMS for link:' it shows a drop down list containing "Secure Payment".. Where can I find the "Secure Payment" screen to add additional payment logo images? thanks!

I want to customize the 'Payment Logo' Block in order to include 2-3 additional payment logos along with what it currently shows (visa, mastercard, paypal).. i also want to customize the 'Block Advertising' so that I can remove the existing image and re-direct to PretaShop's web site with advertising space that I have customers that want to pay me for space in this block. I can't seem to find where in the 'Modules' section or in LiveEdit to make these changes.. please help! thanks tom
  15. Hi All.. when I look at the PS_PRODUCT table that contains information of my product records.. I don't see a field called 'Product Cost' as the backoffice input box depicts on the 'Prices' tab on a Product record. Does anybody know what the field name of 'Price Cost' is in the ps_product table? What makes it more difficult is that the Import screen that has a lot of fields to map to in the drop down list is different from that of what the labels are for the Products screen which is different from that of the fields in the ps_product table. Also, is there any documentation that outlines what the field names are in the ps_product table in reference to the label name on the user interface of the Product screen in reference to the product import field listing... WoW!
