  1. I "upgraded" to 1.6.0.14 which is when my spinning buttons started. I have tried all the above suggestions, finally installing 1.6.1.3 RC1. I also can now change quantities only, but that is progress. However, the spinning buttons will not allow any other changes. I have max execution time set to 1000 and memory to 1024. I use store manager to update products - it is the only way. Related problems may help - I don't know as I am not a programmer, but the indexing does not work - always times out. I have 1500 products and the best indexing only reaches around 1300. Adding missing files to index always results in a blank page and does not add any products. Also my configuration information page never loads in version 1.6.0.14 but is ok in 1.6.1.3 RC1. Store manager will not update product combinations, so my store cannot carry on much longer. I hope someone can find a solution soon!
  2. I can't believe this is still not fixed. Prestashop will be finished if this is not attended to. I have three Prestashops. The latest updated one, which is my main shop, cannot be updated. This is my sole income. The issue has been reported for a long time now. I have tried all the fixes mentioned. None work. It is said that the Developers do not read these posts. Why not? Surely they should be in touch with the real world? Obviously none of them have working shops. Please will someone tell a developer to stop playing with new versions and make this "Stable" version actually work. All my product edit pages are blank and on the first information page, the save buttons never stop spinning. My current version is 1.6.0.14 It was fine until I "Upgraded"
  3. I have this issue since installing 24 module updates two weeks ago. My shop is crippled. I cannot update products. Only the product information page loads. All other tabs are blank. The save buttons never stop spinning. I have tried restoring earlier backups but the problem is still there. This is my livelihood. I cannot believe this goes back to February this year - now it is September and not fixed. It is the end of Prestashop for me. I am now losing so much money that I am willing to pay any price for a working shop. Can anyone recommend the best one to migrate to from Prestashop? (I have 4600 products) I am not very technical. I have tried all the suggested fixes on this forum that I understand, but none has worked.
  4. Thanks Petsam, I am trying your solution. Fingers crossed!
  5. I cannot find an address validation module for Prestashop. It looks like I will have to abandon either Prestashop or Paypal. Any suggestions for migrating Prestashop to another Cart?
  6. Hi Bellini13 Thanks very much for your suggestions. It seems that Paypal in the uk will not process payments unless a zip code is provided. I have already tried your simplistic approach - I have tried making zip code compulsory and also optional. Whichever I choose, I still get the same checkout error with Paypal. Prestashop is not producing a zip code field at checkout consistently. It must do sometimes because two thirds of orders are successful. I already paid developers £500 last year to fix a Paypal problem. I am only a small business and cannot afford to invest any more money in Paypal solutions. I don't know how to place a note next to the zip code field, but even if I did, customers are saying that the zip code field at checkout is just not there at all. It is really more of a Prestashop problem - I will see if I can find an address validation module for Prestashop.
  7. I am still getting lots of customer errors. I have enabled error reporting and get error notification by email, but when I check the logs nothing is there, only old error logs from a year ago. This problem with the uk zip code has been reported as long as four years ago. If Prestashop cannot fix it I will have to abandon all three of my Prestashop sites and find a cart that works for the uk. Please Prestashop - fix the uk zip code issue. Stop releasing wonderful new versions - get the basic software working first! I am not a programmer, but surely someone involved with Prestashop is and can fix this? Latest message: PayPal response:TIMESTAMP -> 2015-01-21T08:24:53ZL_ERRORCODE0 -> 10730L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> Shipping Address Postal Code EmptyL_LONGMESSAGE0 -> The field Shipping Address Postal Code is requiredL_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error Of course, the alternative is to stop using Paypal. Maybe Paypal programmers have an interest in finding a fix?
  8. I could't go to modules and disable onboard module - as I said, the pop-down disabled access to my back end totally. Luckily I had already set up FTP. I deleted the onboard module and this solved the problem. I then uploaded the Paypal module by FTP and it installed successfully. Thanks Irazu! Problem solved.
  9. Now I can't do anything. A pop up obscuring the top half of the page has suddenly appeared. " "A few steps before launching!" This will not close out. No links on this are active. Refreshing the page has no effect, it just returns, so now my Cloud back end is totally disabled. I have relaunched my browser (Chrome) and it is still there. I have logged out and in again. I attach a screenshot
  10. I am working from Modules-modules. Paypal US or Europe are not there. The search gets a blank page. My default country is set to United Kingdom
  11. I am trying to install the free module, Paypal Europe. I logged in to Addons. The zip file downloads as usual for the normal Prestashop, but there is no facility in the cloud version to install a zip file. The Cloud Help says it will be available to install in the modules page, but I suspect this only applies to the paid modules as it is not there.
  12. I found the catch. I have two Prestashop stores. Thought I would try out the third. I went to install a new theme. Themes can only be purchased from Prestashop Add ons store. No other modules can be installed at all. I found a nice theme that I liked but as it isn't in the add-ons store, I can't use it. So that's how they make their money. Fair enough I suppose if you don't mind the limited choices. Nothing can be really free and we all have to earn a living!
  13. This is a typical email from a customer - received today "Hi there, I've just created an account and would like to make an order, but unfortunately I seem unable to save my address. I get the error: A Zip/Postal code is required. But there is no field for the postcode. Help please?" Looking in the forum, it seems there are seven different formats of uk postcode, so I cannot enter a template for a standard uk postcode on the configuration page. I have to leave it blank. On the configuration page it says this is ok, but maybe this is the root of the problem?
  14. I can't reproduce it myself at all, with any browser. A customer just now was using Chrome and just got a blank page at checkout - so no info at all
