i think every strato customer..on a shared host.. well have u called them? but i just can tell u my story.. 3 phone calles with strato were needed to get one who understood what i was talking about,... (time consumed 4 hours) getting a beer ( time consumed 4 minutes) changed to hetzner, get the working! hosting instant (time consumed 20 minutes) you are loosing real money mates, so just do the math :-o :-o and well i like the performance on hetzner; i checked the answer server time with pingdom; strato : 800ms, hetzner: 180ms.. my shop is online within 680 ms.. so just make a full copy, db backup, change ur settings inc; copy everything, redirect domain, and u have a working shop within 40 minutes... or wait.. i will close all strato pages and move completly to hetzner.

atm there is no solution; i changes my hoster this night; changed to Hetzner; faster and the payment worked instant without any problems and loss. btw in ur error message, yes its correct it doenst point to any sl issue; but it is! a ssl issue; it is the communication from ur server/shared hoster to the paypal api. after i called strato and told/asked them if they support sha256 and the new g6 root certificate.. i needed 5 guys and the phone after i got one who understood what i was talking about. the guys always said.. yea we have a ssl certificate for ur homepage.. and i told them.. that it doesnt matter if my shop uses ssl.. becaus ethis is the communication between the user/visitor and the webpage... but i am talking about the communication between the paypal servers and the strato servers... so atm, i tried 5 minutes before; the strato version still doesnt work.. so i am waiting to get my domain fixed and i will stay with hetzner. :-)

i also called Paypal and my Hoster strato; there are many problems atm.
