  1. Hello Guys, I guess, I am staked here. I have performed the following settings for search: search within word: NO Search exact end match: YES Reference weight: 10 rest of the weight set to: 0 I rebuilt search index for many times. However, when I performed search for reference number R-1020-A The following reference results came out: CR-1020 LOC-OP-1020 ANK-1020 R-1020-A BR-1020-G When I search the same reference in the product page at the backend, Admin-Catalog-Products, it works fine, only one result came up. I was wondering, how am I suppose to modify in order to get exactly match. Is there something to do with "-" since the search results shows all relative results to 1020, but not taken the entire word as a whole. Any one can help on this? I was able to find the search function at classes/search.php How can I perform the changes to enable R-1020-A to be searched as a whole?
  2. Hi there, I think I figured out the problem. I should disable the category displayed, this would lead the search to avoid the folder. So I enable it, and rebuild the index, meanwhile not include the category in the menu. That's it. Thanks
  3. Hi EI, I just followed your instruction and performed indexing. Meanwhile, I set the weight of reference to be 10, and the rest of them to be 0, then rebuild the indexing. However, when I search it in the front for the reference, there is no changes in the result.
  4. Hi guys, I would like to add a new feature to prestashop without change the database. I would like to add a country of origin for the product in the customized text field/drop down menu, this will not be shown anywhere else in the front, it will only be used to generate supplier invoice, so it can allow me to generate supplier order by country. Thank you so much for your kind attention. Regards Ryan
  5. Hi there, I would like to keep all discontinued products in a category, but I do not wan to show it. I only want the product to be shown when a customer search for it, which marked as discontinued. What I just did was: 1. in catrgory, display set to NO 2. in product page, Visibility set to search only howover, after all the settings, I was unable to search the item in the front. Any ideas?
  6. Hi Tuk66, You are right, it is another problem. As I just experienced a display problem with chrome, I noticed some pages did not display correctly. I think it is the same issue with this one. It turns out, it is the problem with chrome. So I cleared the cache and disabled all the extensions of the browser. It works. Never thought that way, but it is surely problem with Chrome not prestashop. Thanks.
  7. Hi Mdekker, Thanks for your suggestion. I think you are right, nothing wrong with prestashop. As I checked the older version, it does not show correctly as well. So I cleared the brower cache, it did not work. So, I disabled all the modules and restarted the chrome, it works now. Thanks indeed. Browser problem.
  8. Hi there, I updated my shop from prestashop 1.6.0.14 to 1.6.1.14 Since the 1 click updating is now working, so I manually installed it in the following steps: 1. copied the latest version of prestashop to replace the current one 2. replace setting.inc.php 3. update the script from install/upgrade/upgrade.php 4. delete the install folder. It looks like everything is fine, however, when I access the backend in admin panel. There is something did not appear correctly, in catalog, products, the products tab, only show the information tab, the rest of them does not show in chrome. But, it works fine in firefox. Plz check the attachments. Any idea what was wrong? Regards
  9. Thanks for your reply Tuk66, unfortunately when I click on the button nothing happens. I also tried the solution provided before, https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/449055-problems-upgrading-php-version/ It did not work for me. As there is no option to change php version at the C Panel. Can not move forward I need help.
  10. Hi there, I am experiencing an updating problem. While I tried to use the 1 click updating, I got the following error message. Warning! You are using PHP 5.3.27 version. Soon, the latest PHP version supported by PrestaShop will be PHP 5.4. To make sure you’re ready for the future, we recommend you to upgrade to PHP 5.4 now! I found a solution at the community, however, it does not work for me. My site is currently hosted at Lunarpages, since they all updated their php to php 5. There is no longer a php configuration to set to php 5. Therefore, I was unable to change the php version in C Panel. I was wondering if there is anyway, I can update my shop to bypass the check. Am I be able to change the check function at the backend, then change it back once update is done. Best regards, Ryan
