  1. Hello, No, SMTP is not on my domain. It is an “anti spam” service provided by Spam Experts. So it is something that must be used here as it is a service that guarantees deliverability of the email messages. The strange thing is that there are times when emails are sent, and there are times when emails are not sent (this is when the timeout error is logged). It is really frustrating as emails are not sent to customers when this timeout occurs.
  2. Thank you for your reply. I have checked this and the shop email address matches the domain name in the SMTP settings. But still, the error occurs...
  3. Hello, I am using Prestashop 1.6.1.17 and for sending emails i am using SMTP. Below are the settings for the SMTP connection. The problem is that sometimes when Prestashop tries to send an email, the following error (Swift error) appears in the logs and the email fails to be sent. Why is this Swift error happening and what can i do to solve it ? Thank you, John
  4. Thank you for your answer. I had installed a Prestashop addon for adding captcha on various forms, including the registration form. But somehow, the captcha does not work any more on the registration form. But it works fine in the contact form and in the login form. So, i disabled it on the registration form, so as users can register. I am talking about Prestashop 1.5.6.2. But i will try to find out why it stopped working on the registration form. When you say, you have updated the registration form, you mean you have added your self captcha protection without using an add-on ? Or you mean some kind of another protective measure ? Thank you again! John
  5. Hello! Is captcha really necessary on the registration form ? The fact that a user submits its registration details AFTER he/she has entered his/her email ? In other words, can a bot complete several registrations ? Or it is a protective measure (by prestashop) that the registration process is NOT completed in one page ?
  6. About the auto update to work, it seems that this line of code must be placed in the following blockcart-json.tpl /modules/blockcart_mod/views/templates/hook/blockcart-json.tpl
  7. Thank you oskar86! The instructions work on 1.6.1.17. But there is no auto update of weight when changing quantities. Anyone found a fix for this ??
  8. Thank you. I will try that. John
  9. Hello to everyone, I want to ask if it is possible to increase the limit of the input value for the weight field ? Prestashop strips down long numbers. For example, i want to enter 0.0018 Kg but Prestashop will save the value as 0.002 Kg Thank you, John
  10. Hello to everyone, I want to ask if it is possible for a customer to enter his/her custom item price at the checkout/cart. To clarify, i just want to receive payments from different customers but the price at the checkout should not be the same for each of them. Also, i don't want to create a custom product (each with different price) each time in order to achieve this. Only each customer to enter the custom price. Is there any preferable way to do this ?
