Home text editor is missing. modules tab only has positions as an option

Recommended Posts

Folks.

The backend of prestashop is missing the home text editor, and there are no other options under the modules tab. It was like this from installation of prestashop.

Should there be more options under the modules tab?

Can I manually add home text editor somehow?

Please help!

This is my first time to use Prestashop and I thought I did something wrong on my install, but I have no "homepage text editor " either. Should there be an editor module/tool ? If not, is there any easy way to edit text on the home page...if I need an editor what's the easiest editor to use ?
I've been really impressed with the ease of installation and the user friendly back office layout so I'm hoping this isn't going to be a stumbling block !!!

Good news....I was hunting around the "modules" ..went into "positions" & there it was ! Not sure exactly what I did but when I went back in it was there...so it must have been there all the time ?
Anyway, the main thing is..its working fine !

Me too with a new 1.6.0.9 setup. I'm starting to question if the file permission issue I had, had something to do with it.

Back, I've checked the install packages and it seems that prestashop_1.6.0.1.zip is the last package that had the module „editorial” wich I understand to be the „Home Text Editor”.

Hi everyone

I upgraded my webshop to version 1.6.0.14. Upgrade went smooth but i have no text-editor anymore.

So i found the manual for extending the editor

http://mypresta.eu/en/art/prestashop-16/extended-rich-text-editor.html

Doesn`t work

I replaced the files from like written in another post. Doesnt work

Any other idea?

In the attachement you can see how my text-editor looks like. Its simply html based.

[solved] - I downloaded the latest prestashop from the homepage and replaced the whole js folder.
