How to: add same item with multiple addons?

Hi People.

I have spent days trying to figure this out.


I have a t-shirt item set up, and the additional options for the item are...

material (cotton/pol),
colours (red/blue/black/white/etc)
pecial gift wrap (yes/no)
colour trim (red/blue/black/white/etc)


I have done a bit of research before posting, (Maybe I missed something, so I apologise if it's easy)


The only way to add the additional options, is to create the item "t-shirt" then add "Attributes and groups" and create every possible combination??

ie, red, no gift, cotton
red, no gift, pol,
red, gift, cotton


Can't you add the item once, then have other drop-down menus with the other options? (without having to do every single combination)
