PS 1.7 How to close the gap of product listing

Hi,

I am not sure if this is the correct place to ask - but anyway i am using the default template after just installing the prestashop. Would anyone be so kind to advise how to make the gap between product container closer to one another. If possible no gap at all just line to separate the product. See the screen shot of the gap 

Secondly how to make the listing more per row - currently it shows 4 i would like to have 5

And thirdly how to make the container of the product smaller
