embedding youtube video's in product page

I've tried to add a youtube video to one of my products using the HTML icon and for some reason when i click update nothing is happening. what could be wrong here? I simply just grabbed the youtube embed code and posted it in my product description and can't get it to work.. Any thoughts?

ok I got it.. Seems to only work with old style youtube embed not the newest one..

Hi guys,

I have tried to upload a video from you-tube for one of my products and I did it in the right way using HTML and copy and paste embedded code to description product page.
But I think there is a bug in video streams for prestashop !!!
My Mozilla browser can show the product page very well but when I am trying to visit my product page on internet explorer browser it seems that it doesn't have compatibility and the place of my shopping card and other stuff in the page changing and it doesn't looks good.
I would appreciate if (EnzoRacing) or any one help me to solve this problem and let me know if there is such a bug in Prestashop!!!

Hi Iam new to prestashop and am using version 1.4.1. Now iam facing a problem uploading a youtube video in Products page. I can easily add video for the home page thru HOME TEXT EDITOR but iam not knowing how to add video in my Product Page acn any one pls help me with this regard. THANKS IN ADVANCE ANIL -> BANGALORE.

Hi Mr Vivek hope doing good thanks for all u r reply for my querys again iam coming up with a new query so pls help me in this regard.

i have developed a website for a toys shop and for there requirements i have made Specials Block transplant in Home page content (center). Changed the css and made it horizontal strip (pls look at the image for HOT DEALS STRIP) and added a jquery carousel for sliding .(please do not confuse the images appearing now is from Featured Products simply i have added for now).
Now i need to make all 4 images or all images appear in that Hot Deals strip. I tried a lot changing the query in php file to get all the images and make it appear in the home page but failed i got totally lost. the only concept for me is to display all the images as in Featured Products Strip not one . So Kindly help me in this regard and do solve my probs.

kindly explain all the needed changes that has to be done for corresponding files in detail

Hi Anil

just replicate homefetured module with some slight change
in you php files to select image which you want to show . if you have already develop such module and that doesnot meets you requirement then send me module I will modify that

i have tried a lot on changing the php file and also in tpl file up to my level best but unfortunately iam missing some where which iam unable to find and solve i feel problem is simple and a minor mistake iam making is making me go out of my task. here iam sending the module folder for Specials Block (for me its Hot Deals in Home page) pls make u r self free to resolve the issue and help me in this regard Thanks in Advance.

Module you sent me blockspecial show newly added product it's prestashop default module
Have to tried to write that module

In the post you said, you want to show image please make me more clear which image are that;
do they directly related to product or you want a module which show uploaded image in the form of strip with carosule
. or you want such type of module that when you mark particular product for hotdeal then their image and link to that product appears in the strip of four with carosule

Sorry for not being soo meaning full and explainable !! here iam with new explanation,
i have altered module for my purpose but failed so i have not sent u that folder (i deleted that and simply added Featured Products code in this).

Hot Deals or Specials (which is appearing on Right colums on default Prestashop) come with the products which has special discount or reduced price for that particular product. We assign this special rate or discount for the product in the Back office when we are adding products to the home page (or for particular category) . This will appear in that Specials block displaying the reduced rate of the product (only 1 image and details in Specials block in Default Prestashop page on right column).

Now if i assign discounts for many products the last product discounted will appear only one image (in php file query is getting random value RAND() function is used.). I need all the images appear in the strip for my home page for which Admin has assigned discount for the products while adding the products for categories or in home. And also those images are PRODUCTS added from Back office itself and there is no other images uploaded for that. I need to display all those images which are discounted in that HOT Deals Strip. No other module is needed for marking hot deals seperately Really thanks for that.

i think iam upto now, pls reply me if u still has some doubts and also my reqs can be met with the default prestashop BlockSpecials module so i have sent u that ...

it will be great full if this is solved....
