[Solved] Store is redirecting customers to index page instead of PayPal

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone :)

I've been searching the forums here for the past hour or so, reading about this problem and it seems that no one have the same issue as I do. So I need your help.

First of all, I've installed Prestashop a lot of times so this is nothing new in that way, but I've never had any problems getting PayPal to work before.
Settings are the way they should be, currencies are ok, and still it won't redirect a customer to PayPal. All it does is redirecting back to the index page of the store with no errors at all.

I'm running Prestashop 1.3.6 with the PayPal module that is included in the installation, and I've tried this in both Firefox 3.6.13 and IE 8 and they both act the same.
I've checked all the permissions on the server and they are ok too. No 500 errors anywhere.

Please help. I've got customers hovering and no one can pay.

My store can be found here if anyone wants to give it a try.

Thank you,
Christa

I did encounter a problem with Paypal. I did a test run but it didn't bring me back to my homepage but it got stuck at paypal page stating some issues. I searched around and managed to get me this paypal folder on this forum. I do not know whether this is going to work for you but you can give it a try.

FTP the Paypal folder I am giving you to replace yours. Please make a backup because I am not sure whether it will work for you.

For some reason, I can't upload the Paypal folder to your thread.

YAY! It worked :D
Thank you so much for that folder, Troy :D
Not sure if I should try and upload the .zip file here that you sent me, but if anyone needs it, I will give it a go.

Thank you again :))

Christa

You're welcome. I actually got that file from a person who had a solution to some paypal problem from this forum but I can't recall the name :)

Still don't know what was wrong with the one I had before...and why the PayPal module from one of the other (working) stores
I've got running didn't work either.

My partner, who is a php programmer, was looking at this too and he was also clueless.
Any idea what this module does that the original didn't do?
