Alessio Rocchi
Hi, I write in behalf of a small web company for which I work as a web programmer: we used for two years a modified version of oscommerce for our ecommers solution, which grew on us over time to be very versatile but hardly manageable. We are considering the switch to PrestaShop. As of now, we encountered a problem, and I would like to ask the forum before trying to find a (potentially convoluted) solution of my own.The thumbnails for products in the home, which are resized according to the "home" rule in the backoffice (prestashop 1.3.5), show a bad behavior if the size for the original images is not homogeneous: the images which do not satisfy the aspect ratio of the thumb get white borders. This is not a good solution for our clients, as in many shops we had cases of clients with home products with different sizes and aspect ratios. Is there an easy solution to the problem?Thank in advanceAlessioEDIT: after a small search, I found this http://www.prestashop.com/forums/viewthread/23714/P15/third_party_modules/images_dot_inc_dot_php__made_to_use_png .. this does not give me much faith in an actual solution since this is actually an hack. Damir1
Hi, I have the same problem. When I am uploading picutres in square dimension some pictures have a white boarder. Is there a solution by now? I have seen that in prior versions of Prestashop there was a button called "Thumbnail Resize Method" where you could choose between manual or automatic. This button has vanished in PS 1.4. Why?
