Hooking Quick Search in "Top of pages" makes category tree disappear

I would like to have the search bar at the top of my website.

If I hook the "Quick Search" module in "Top of pages", the category tree in my Categories block disappears.

The "Category Block" is hooked in my left column. If I hook the search bar in the left column, it works straight away without any problem. I guess the order some scripts are called makes the difference.

Any suggestion?I am using 1.2.5

I am same Problem.
I find solution on six months but no solution define.
If you find the solution and any help full information please tell me per-sonly.
I waiting your replay if i find solution i shell post first priority.

Add this line to your header.tpl

after all the other script calls.

It worked for me, but it only works with jQuery 1.2.6, if I upgrade to jQuery 1.5 everything breaks.
