Shipping range calculation uses Total with taxes instead of Subtotal without taxes!

If you set your shipping to be calculated by price range, the shipping price is calculated by the price AFTER tax has been applied. Instead, the shipping range should be applied to the total of your cart BEFORE taxes are applied!

eg. If I have an cart that is 49.99 BEFORE TAXES and the shipping is set to be FREE if your order is above $50, this cart should be charge for shipping! Instead, the order becomes something around $55 AFTER TAXES and it gets free shipping because it is now over $50. This is problematic!

At this point I have just given up because it seems the development team only speaks European (humor) and do not care about the issues outside of Europe. The taxation is a complete mess for those countries who do not charge VAT and instead charge sales tax. (Such as the US)

You are wrong. The aim of PrestaShop is to be an international e-commerce solution. But being compatible with the taxes models and laws of each country is a big task. Especially as it constantly changes.

PrestaShop will make in a very near future big efforts to be as compatible as possible with the US requirements.
If you have important information to give us about the US taxes and laws, you should post in this forum :

First, check if a topic already exists. If this is the case, complete the topic, else create one according to the model.

Thanks. :)
