Displaying image and description for category pages

Hi everyone,

Thanks for taking the time to help.

I'd like a category image to be displayed next to the category title and I'd like the category description beneath the category title (see the image I have attached).

Example: if i click "silver earrings" in my category box, i'd like to see a page showing all silver earrings. The category title of this page is of course "silver earrings". I'd like a picture of silver earrings to appear to the right and the category's description about silver earrings to appear beneath the category title.

My products-list.tpl looks like this:
