asllearner
below is the original post. I found the error. I wasnt using the local path from my server...the url itself did not work/servername/serverusrdir/ and then my subdirectorynot http://....etc\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\I know muchink and blood too for all I know has been spilt over this, but I feel like I have read it all, and still I don't get it.I am trying to bulk import my products. all works fine except, lo and behold, img url...I have tried many variations, but the one I believe the most should work is this.I uploaded my images to www.mysite.com/catalogpresta/img/tmpmy csv file is as follows and attachedid+category+quantity+reference+img url+price+name+description1914+2+1+100 A+http://www.mysite.com/catalogpresta/img/tmp/100_A.jpg+85.0000+Marco Polo / Italian Renn.+ GLD/BURG/GR Hat, shirt, sox MED/LG-2 PC CHEST-42 / WAIST-31 to 40 1915+2+1+100 C+http://www.mysite.com/catalogpresta/img/tmp/100_C.jpg+75.0000+Vasco de Gamma / Explorer+BURG/GLD Hat, sox MED/LG-2 PC SH / CH / A / W / H / L / I 1916+2+1+101 J+http://www.mysite.com/catalogpresta/img/tmp/100_F.jpg+50.0000+Prince Charming+GREY/WT Hat, Pendant, sox, SM-2 PC CHEST-40 / ARM-35 / WAIST-30to 38 1917+2+1+100 G+http://www.mysite.com/catalogpresta/img/tmp/100_G.jpg+75.0000+Romeo+BU/BLK Pendant, sox, sash, shirt L/XL-3 PC SHOULDER-19 / CHEST44 to 46 / ARM-36 / WAIST-32 to 50 I am using + as delimiter and ^ as option delimiterI have tried putting the url in quotes, in parentheses, with forward and backslashes, and other ways.originally I had the images in my img/p/ folder, and tried that as well.I tried using relative url's (img/p, img, /img/p/, et al ad nauseumWhich of those options is correct?what should I do?I would like very very very much not to install a local server at this time (I am just setting up the store, and it will be managed by someone else...) so dont offer solutions involving that, as I have read that already.I get an error message that says it has a error loading the img, but doesn't explain the error.I have read mentions about friendly URLS and rewrited urls but I dont understand what they are.......can someone explain the basic idea of these to me?thanks in advance for any help on what must be an overasked and slightly stupid question.mysitesample.csv
