Csv subcategories import issue

Hi, i'm trying to import in prestashop 1.7 a csv containing a categories structure like this:

Category 1
--Category 2
----Category 3
--Category4
--Category5

I can correctly import the first sublevel (Category2, Category4, Category5) using the string "Category 1" into the field "Parent Category".
Now, what  i have to put into this field when i need to import Category3? I tried with Category1/Category2, Category1>Category2, Category1,Category2 but nothing worked for me

Like you I also struggled with this, but I found a simple answer.

Your categories CSV file needs to look a bit like this

Category ID             Active(0/1)              Name*                                    Parent Category           Root Category(0/1)

1                                  1                                 Oil Filters                              Servicing                         0

2                                 1                                 Air Filters                              Servicing                         0

3                                 1                                 Batteries                               Electrics                           0

4                                 1                                 Standard Batteries            Batteries                          0             

 

Parent Category creates your root category, Name* creates your subcategory assigned to your root (Parent Category), but if you then move a Name* category to the Parent Category as I've done here with Category ID 4 then it creates another subcategory to its parent.
