Trouble with Product Description Layout

Hi,

 

I am having trouble with the product description not allowing me to put extra spacing in <br> although I have put in returns or paragraphs there is not real visual difference between one paragraph and the next.
I did some reading on the forum and onlder (2013) posts mention the same problem and talk about editing HTML files.

Has any progress been made on fixing this error?  Is it possible to say edit the Stylesheet that defines "paragraph" atributes and have a space before value?

Sorry new at this so forgive me if that is a silly question.
